We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Biller to join our team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail and accuracy in claims processing, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members, insurance companies, and patients.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Utilize proficient understanding of CPT & ICD-10 coding and medical billing procedures to accurately prepare and submit medical insurance claims.
- Demonstrate knowledge of insurance claim submission processes and reimbursement practices to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Verify and review claim information for completeness and compliance with billing regulations.
- Record and reconcile payments received from insurance companies and patients.
- Ensure accurate posting of payments and adjustments in the billing system.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, insurance companies, and patients to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
- Managing insurance and patient Accounts Receivable (A/R), resolving billing discrepancies, addressing insurance denials and rejections by sending claims for reprocessing and/or submitting corrected claims/appeals as necessary.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a medical biller.
- Proficient understanding of CPT & ICD-10 coding and medical billing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in claims processing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills (oral and written).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience managing insurance and patient Accounts Receivable (A/R) and a comprehensive understanding of handling insurance denials and rejections
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient data confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willing to work in the Pacific Time (PST) schedule (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM PST). This is during the graveyard shift in Manila Time
- With own Laptop or Desktop (8GB RAM, core 5 above) with an internet connection of at least 10mbps.
