Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Salary Range: 1000-1800 USD per month
Schedule: M-F, 9AM - 5PM US/Pacific time
About the Role:
The client is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst in the Philippines to help build and grow a world-class engineering team and culture. While reporting directly to the VP of Engineering you will build out a new software category within the massive trillion dollar commercial construction industry. We have a hands-on culture and expect the same of all our team members. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our software solutions, ensuring they meet both our high standards and the evolving needs of our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze Requirements: Work within a cross-functional team alongside our product team, developers, and other members of QA to review and analyze system specifications to ensure clarity and testability.
- Test Case Development: Write, prioritize, and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on the requirements.
- Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing to ensure software functionality aligns with specifications.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with automation engineers to transition manual test cases into automated scripts.
- Bug Reporting: Document and track bugs meticulously, working with the development team for timely resolutions. Track and update the team with metrics which capture trends and offer insights.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in sprint retrospectives and suggest improvements to enhance QA processes and practices.
- Reporting: Regularly update the team and management on test planning, test execution, and the status of software quality.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in software quality assurance, preferably in a startup or fast-paced tech environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, manual testing techniques, test management tools, and processes. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an agile development environment and a good understanding of its challenges and opportunities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and environments.
Desirable
- Certifications: ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
