Position: Staff Accountant

Working hours: M-F, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST / M-F, 10 PM - 6 AM Philippine Time

Holiday/s: US and/or PH Holidays

Salary Range: USD 900 - 1,800/month

About the role:

The company is actively looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced Finance team. This is a great opportunity to get extensive exposure across the community and experience our barakah culture!

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
  • Review billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy
  • Communicates transaction issues and errors to improve transaction processes.
  • Distributes accounting reports as directed.
  • Provide support in report generation conveying the status of accounts receivables/payables.
  • Verifies accounts payable and receivable.
  • Responds to financial inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with answering messages, and other related tasks as needed.
  • Supports the department with ad-hoc tasks.

  • Must have accounting experience.
  • Capable of facilitating journal and ledger entries.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
  • Adept in properly documenting and processing account receivable/payable transactions, including payroll.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential, sensitive information, and adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, flexibility, and resilience, with the ability to thrive in a fluid and fast-paced remote environment.
  • Global cultural awareness- ability to interface with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Notable payroll experience.
