Accountant

Avid is looking for an Accountant to join its US Shared Services Accounting Services team! The role is located in the Philippines and can be performed at home or as a hybrid position from our office in Taguig! It will require to work on a night shift. 

What you’ll do

• Play a role in monthly accounting close, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations and flux analysis.
• Assists with preparation of audit schedules for quarterly review/annual audit.
• Prepare Royalty reports and corresponding payment requests.
• Assists with accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team.
• Assist with monthly fixed asset closing process.
• Potential for cross training in other areas, such as SEC, Tax, and Revenue recognition.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Tax and Revenue ad hoc projects as necessary.

Who you are

• You have bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• You have a thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and accounts reconciliations.
• You are organized and detail-oriented.
• You have a demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• You have a first experience with an accounting software (preferably SAP).
• You must show ability to manage multiple tasks and delivery dates.
• You have strong English written and verbal communication skills.
