Overall Purpose: Fulfil the day-to-day electrical / I&C maintenance activities at the power plant. Additionally, the electrical / I&C team is responsible to support the management of the outages of the plant, ensuring that the plant meets availability, reliability, efficiency, generation and cost targets, safely and within strict environmental limits.
Key Responsibilities

- Supporting the management on various service contracts with respect to planned and unplanned maintenance services of gas turbines and other plant equipment.
- Development of routine plant maintenance through the use of CMMS.
- Successful preparations and completion of planned shutdowns conducted by the long-term gas turbine maintenance service provider.
- Implementation of electrical / I&C engineering practices in accordance with OEM and international standards.
- Carrying out preventive, corrective and condition-based maintenance and ensuring all works are carried out according to relevant procedures.
- Support the development and implementation of a Long Term engineering strategic plan.
- Completing the planned shutdowns within time and budget.
- Carrying out projects.
- Evaluating spares.
- Supervising contractors.
- Provide input on root cause and failure analysis and investigations of plant-related incidents.
- Ensure all procedures, documentation, drawings and manuals are kept up to date and necessary training is completed in a timely manner.
- Provide input on the improvement of the IMS (i.e. new system design, work instructions).
- Provide input in the preparation of section budget.
- Deliver outcomes, in all areas of work, consistent with the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Ensure Company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures are followed.
- Participate in internal / external Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental audits and monitor relevant findings.
- Promotes and participates actively in the Company’s QESH programs, projects and activities.
- Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum education requirement: BS Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, or Electronics Engineering
- Ideal education requirement: BS Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, or Electronics Engineering, with technical certifications for electrical and I&C related topics
- Professional License: Licensed Engineer
- Minimum work experience: 3 years of total operation experience with progressive experience on maintenance of a power generating plant.
- Ideal Work Experience: Experience preferred in maintenance and execution of projects related to gas turbine power plant and a wide range of auxiliary equipment. Specifically, practical experience related to maintenance and testing of high voltage, medium voltage and low voltage electrical equipment, power plant instrumentation, and power plant control systems - PLC’s, DCS, and SCADA.
