As a Senior Engagement Marketing Analyst - Email at Balsam, you'll be responsible for managing email calendars across various brands, executing email marketing campaigns, analyzing data and results, and identifying optimization opportunities. You will also play a pivotal role in enhancing our email volume, refining our workflows, and offering valuable insights to refine our campaign strategies and boost email sign-ups. What you'll be doing:
Email Marketing Execution, Analysis, & Recommendations
- Implements plans for identified business opportunities for Email strategies and analytics.
- Executes the planning and coordination of email strategies to advance business goals, with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develops short- and long-term lifecycle strategies that increase customer lifetime value and strengthen customer retention.
- Coordinates the flow of data across the team to ensure that campaigns are effective.
- Analyzes email metrics to improve conversion rates and develop future strategies.
- Manages and executes the testing process through our email service provider.
- Applies knowledge on all current direct marketing and email marketing best practices, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR compliance.
- Leads omni-channel tactics that promote engagement, retention, and loyalty across email marketing, organic, and paid channels.
- Develops tactics and analyzes metrics to assess the effectiveness of existing marketing, advertising, and communications programs.
- Identifies opportunities for A/B testing and effectively communicates results and makes actionable conclusions.
- Develops lead generation strategies for acquiring new subscribers.
Finance & Budget Management
- Monitors revenue pace to goal projections of their channel, reports back and provides key and real-time recommendations to sub-functional leads.
- Updates Expense Metric files and ensures the accuracy of data.
- Creates revenue build-ups for their channel and implements updates.
- Checks and reviews EM file for their channel and reporting.
- Performs discount dollar analysis to determine profitability in channel promos and offers.
Business Review & Season Wrap-Up Reporting
- Creates weekly/bi-weekly reports to review channel engagement and provide performance updates and learnings for key business partners.
- Presents and reviews performance in weekly meetings with the functional lead.
- Prepares and executes ad hoc deliverables for their channel.
- Executes analysis and season wrap-up slides for their channel.
- Raises flags within their account/channel and provides timely recommendations for optimizing current and developing future campaigns.
- Monitors and reports on competition, relevant news, and industry trends.
Integrated Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Plans channel initiatives to support integrated planning goals and presents to their sub-functional leads.
- Implements integrated planning initiatives and applies customer insights in their channel campaigns.
- Identifies and requests for deliverables in their channels.
- Collaborates with cross-functional leads and key stakeholders to develop holistic email plans and to align on goals, timelines, deliverables, and due dates.
- Assists cross-functional partners to execute email requests while applying relevant strategies and best practices.
- Contributes to the success of the team by assisting in other duties defined by management.
Tools & Agency Management
- Displays proficiency in Email Marketing and CRM tools and platforms such as but not limited to Klaviyo, Email on Acid, Litmus, and Narvar.
- Attends meetings with agency partners when needed; takes notes and shares with the team.
Team & People Management
- Trains and mentors more junior Marketing Analysts or cross-functional team members.
- Provides guidance and critical feedback when needed.
- Documents processes, strategies, and campaigns for internal and external reference.

What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any related course
- Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of work experience in Engagement Marketing channels such as Social Media, Content, Influencer, or Email
- Experience with Email Marketing and CRM tools and platforms such as but not limited to Klaviyo, Email on Acid, Litmus, and Narvar
- Experience with basic HTML
- Experience with Email Copywriting
- Experience with Data Analysis
Location: The Senior Engagement Marketing Analyst - Email position is a work-from-home position for Balsam International Unlimited Philippine ROHQ in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Tarlac areas only. Additionally, our corporate offices are based in Northern California with a Regional Operating Headquarters (ROHQ) in the Philippines. Company executives visit the Philippines regularly, so team members attend in-person meetings from time to time.
Our must-haves:
- Must be open to joining some face-to-face gatherings, like our monthly functional meetings and quarterly teamwide events.
- Must have a back-up laptop or desktop for use, if primary laptop encounters issues.
- Must have a fast, reliable DSL, Fiber or Broadband connection (not mobile or broadband stick) as the primary internet connection with a minimum actual speed of 10MBPS.
- Must have a back-up internet connection of the same speed, if primary connection becomes spotty.
Status: This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
Hardware Provision: Company-issued Laptop will be provided on the first day.
