Position: Medical Billing Specialist
Working Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:30pm CST
Salary Range: USD 900 - USD 1,400/month
Tasks:
- Coding and billing multiple CPT codes per date of service for the private practice.
- Stay up-to-date with remittances and ensure timely posting and reconciliation.
- Handle the submission of medical records as required.
- Initiate requests for rate increases from insurance companies.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in accurately coding and billing multiple CPT codes per date of service within a private practice setting (essential requirement).
- Experience and comprehensive understanding of the credentialing process is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with the process for requesting pre-authorizations from commercial insurance payers and Texas Medicaid Managed Care Organization is preferred.
- A positive attitude and a demonstrated track record as a medical billing rockstar.
- Ability to think creatively and adapt to changing circumstances as required.
- Proficiency in or willingness to learn how to utilize Waystar Clearing House (training will be provided if necessary).
- Previous experience in billing for speech therapy services is a significant advantage.
