Regional ERP Technical Manager

General Job Summary

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional who will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of multi-D365FO ERP systems across multiple regions.

As the Regional ERP Technical Manager, you will be responsible to ensure overall projects' success by providing all aspects of technical management and support such as LCS environment management, maintenance, development, and configuration of D365FO ERP within the SEA Markets for diverse F&B brands. Furthermore, you will be entrusted with the task of managing D365FO ERP development environments. This includes ensuring seamless code merging, standardizing coding practices, enforcing change management governance, managing Microsoft period service updates, and fostering effective collaboration among local IT teams, local users, ERP vendors, and downstream systems vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and management of D365FO ERP systems across multiple regions.
  • Ensure code merging and standardization processes are followed in maintain a consistent and efficient codebase.
  • Manage Installations, Hotfix, Cumulative updates in D365FO and execute regression testing using RSAT (Regression Suite Automation Tool) to ensure system stability and integrity.
  • Establish and enforce governance policies and procedures for change management, ensuring that all changes are properly documented, tested, and implemented in accordance with company standards.
  • Create and review technical specification documentation, design, and review custom code for complex requirements.
  • Perform delivery audits with a view to assessing quality of solution and highlight possible improvements in the technical design and coding.
  • Develop and maintain overall architect technical design, solution and implement as a lead technical architect.
  • Establish the development process, deployment process and methodology ensuring Governance of ERP platform across markets adopting Azure DevOps tool such as work Item management, Branching and code merging.
  • Collaborate with local IT teams and local users to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions or enhancements to optimize system functionality and performance.
  • Act as a liaison between the regional ERP vendors and downstream systems vendors, managing system integration, code standardization and adherence of technical Best Practices.
  • Monitor and analyse system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing proactive measures to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Oversee the implementation of data archiving strategies and ensure the ERP system is maintained at an optimal data capacity.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in D365FO ERP systems and related technologies, sharing knowledge and expertise with the team.
  • Technical lead for all ERP system implementation projects ensuring the adoption of best practices and compliance to the organization policies and procedures.
  • Manage internal or external development team, assign the tasks and monitoring the progress of development status.

Education/Qualification/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Manager or similar role, specifically in managing D365FO ERP systems.
  • 7 years of proven track record in managing D365FO or Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system with experience in executing at least one full ERP project lifecycle successfully.
  • Competent in MorphX, X++ programming & DevOps management skills following D365 best practices.
  • In-depth development experience such as customized functions/enhancements, interface integration and develop new reports with D365FO and Dynamics AX.
  • Experience in Data management and migration, entities, and templates.
  • Experience on Azure DevOps and build pipeline configuration and build process management for D365FO.
  • Experience on LCS for VM management and deployable package deployment, configuration of DevOps, Asset library.
  • Experience in managing Microsoft service update such installations, Hotfix, Cumulative updates in D365.
  • Hands-on experience with regression testing tools i.e. RSAT (Regression Suite Automation Tool).
  • Work as Subject matter Expert to provide direction and resolve complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong dedication to continuous learning and professional development.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Extensive knowledge of X++ program, technical code merging and standardization processes within a multi-environment development environment.
  • Hands-on with SQL server administration, views, stored procedures, security role administration and management
  • In-depth knowhow involving backup and deployment of package in Sandbox and production server, end to end release process and release notes preparation.
  • Exposure to D365 Retail technical knowledge & F&B industrial domain knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of integration to various platforms including experience of Power platform, Power apps.
  • Knowledge in emerging technologies such as RPA, Azure Cloud Platform, SaaS, DevOps, Power BI,
  • PowerApps, Power Automate, Flow is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills with detail organizing and planning.
  • Fluent communication in English and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Meticulous and good team player who can work with various levels of stakeholders from different cultures and locations.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently.
  • Able to travel to other countries if needed.
