The Research and Development Specialist ensures that:
1. The New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) Process is followed in new product initiatives.
2. Customer data are interpreted and analyzed and solutions or ideas for new products and market opportunities are discovered.
3. Insights from customers for new products are captured.
4. Initial hazard analysis and risk assessment of new products are conducted before product development.
5. Experimental design and project timeline are created; milestones and targets are monitored and accomplished.
6. All business, technical, safety, and quality requirements of new products are achieved before launching.
7. The shelf-life declaration of new products are established and verified.
8. Product labels of all new products are compliant to applicable Regulatory and Statutory standards.
9. Appropriate packaging materials are developed and approved for use in all new products.
10. The specifications and other requirements for new products are established, reviewed, and communicated to QA, Procurement, and Production.
11. All requirements for registration of new products are prepared accurately.
10. Product Costing and margins of new products are computed in coordination with Finance.
11. The performance of newly launched products are monitored; troubleshooting of quality and performance concerns are conducted; and appropriate action plans are recommended and implemented.
12. All required documented information and reports are submitted on time.
