Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for month-end and year-end closing requirements of the costing and inventory system including analyze manufacturing account, review stock ageing reports & provide recommendation for next action, assess the allowance for slow moving stock, prepare stock reconciliation between the records in Logistic and Finance together with preparation of inventory revaluation.
- Work with various departments and subsidiaries on product costing and pricing of existing / new products to support the pricing decision of Sales and Marketing.
- Provide meaningful insights from data analysis to help improve the business.
- Improve the accuracy of costing inputs.
- Prepare plant costing annually to establish overhead surcharge for the respective plants to be used for the computation of product costing.
- Liaise with production to analyze the yield result to highlight the low performance products.
- Prepare monthly sales analysis to verify the gross margin for customers and products, investigate and highlight to the management on abnormal gross margin.
- Manage annual stock check and cycle stock count, investigate stock count variances.
- Review standard costing in the system and analyze the respective variance account.
- Evaluate the viability of project and investment appraisal.
- Prepare sales reconciliation of SST products and responsible for SST submission. Liaise with customs on the reporting and audit.
- Liaise with all in-charge of the company and the subsidiaries in annual budgeting processes are run smoothly with timely submission.
- Assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation.
- Assist in various applications / survey of local authorities and institution.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents and relevant government authorities.
- Assist in ad-hoc tasks assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess Degree in Accountancy or similar fields; or Professional Qualification such as CIMA / ACCA; and a member of MIA.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in ERP system and proficient in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel)
- Able to work independently, resourceful, proactive, possess analytical thinking and able to handle multiple tasks within deadlines.
