What you will do:

• Runs mainframe batch cycles for different clients and environments.

• Maintains mainframe batch schedules.

• Supports release, upgrade, change, and patching activities.

• Effectively communicates activities and findings in oral and written forms.

• Controls and manages own daily activities.

• Provides internal quality assurance.

• Supports developers to identify risks and develops mitigation strategies.

• Organizes and maintains the test script library.

• Develops automation scripts for operations.

• Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you will need:

• Knowledge of methods, tools and technology related to Cobol, Zena, and mainframe batch.

• Must be willing to work on a Hybrid setup (twice a week onsite). Office location is at Ecoplaza Bldg, located at Makati City, near Magallanes MRT Station, EDS

• Must be amenable to work on either morning or night shift; possibility of working on a permanent night shift

• Knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets needs of client/business partner.

• Knowledge of basic principles, processes, phases and SDLC methodologies

• Knowledge of VSAM, JCL, Zeke, Zena, Rexx, ISPF, Cobol, SAR.

• Knowledge of Outlook VBA, Excel VBA, Power Automate (nice to have).

• College Undergraduates with relevant work experiences are welcome to apply

• Skill in understanding and focusing on the client needs.

• Skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving.

• Ability to work in an agile and SRE environment.

• Ability to deliver results under pressure.

• Ability to do multi-tasking.

• Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills working with technical and non-technical individuals.

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors and public.
