About the job
The Retail Manager is responsible to spearhead and develop the IKEA market in the Philippines in-line with IKEA Vision, Business Idea and HR Idea, in securing the short, medium, and long-term growth, and profitability. This will primarily be achieved through establishing a robust omnichannel business centred around IKEA stores, actively seeking out new business opportunities, enhancing commercial viability to boost profits and market presence, and assembling a skilled and high-achieving team.
As a member of the Ikano Retail Management Team (IRMT), this individual will also significantly to shaping the overarching direction, governance, and alignment of Ikano Retail.
Your assignment
- Lead and develop the retail direction on country level, meeting today’s and future consumers’ needs, build on country specific retail and operational context.
- Take full responsibility for the country profit & loss and ensuring adherence to business objectives and compliance with IKEA concepts.
- Lead efforts to expand IKEA’s sales channels, aiming to in maximise sales, profitability and increase market share.
- Lead the country Management Team to identify and capitalise on commercial opportunities, executing the country business plan and strategic initiatives.
- Foster the growth of a diverse talent pipeline essential for IKEA's present and future expansion.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for media and government authorities.
- Create the pre-conditions for a thriving IKEA concept with strong emphasis on a People & Planet positive strategy, integrating Ikano sustainability agenda across various functional areas.
