About the team:
The Network Delivery Team provides managed IT services for FIS clients. The high caliber members are among the technology leaders within FIS, utilizing multiple technologies and vendors. This team requires motivated members who are ready to develop personally and professionally as FIS grows to meet the challenges presented by today’s global economies.
What will you be doing:
Performs device configurations, internal operating system upgrades and software upgrades and deploys network devices including routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls.
Follows documented network services processes and procedures – identifies gaps in processes or documentation and suggests improvements.
Monitors, responds and provides resolution for all network problem and incident tickets.
Utilizing ServiceNow, documents status updates and problem resolutions.
Performs customer service duties and responds to customer requests as defined by management.
Responds to customer requests as defined by management completing assignments in a timely manner with an acceptable level of quality.
Troubleshoots network problems and recommends corrective procedures; assists with troubleshooting circuit equipment and all other network issues.
Prepares activity reports as requested by management.
Identifies opportunities to improve workflow and creates supporting documentation for review by peers and management.
Maintains network services documentation related to work area.
Completes network change requests in accordance with service level agreements.
Maintains network lab and equipment inventory.
Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
8+ years of strong technical knowledge of Juniper SRX, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower and CheckPoint Firewalls.
Solid technical knowledge of BlueCoat Proxy is desirable.
Ability to design complex security solutions.
Identifies opportunities and executes plans to improve workflow and understands and quantifies business impacts of those improvements for communication to management.
Resolves and/or performs follow through to resolve Network security issues.
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Providing overall security analysis and recommendations.
Thorough understanding of Security compliance and risk management.
Experienced in handling complex upgrades and migration of multi-vendor Firewall Devices.
Ability to handle escalations under high pressure situations.
Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions to improve efficiency using Automation and innovative ideas.
Mentor and guide Junior engineers.
Implements and administers information security controls using software and vendor security systems.
Interfaces with user community to understand security needs and implements procedures to accommodate them. Ensures that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
Desired - JNCIE-Security or CCIE-Security or PCNSE
Solid understanding of networks technologies (protocols, design concepts, access control)
Solid understanding of security technologies (encryption, data protection, design, privilege access, etc.)
Proficiency in time management, communications, decision making, presentation and organizational skills
Proficiency in planning, reporting, establishing goals and objectives, standards, priorities, and schedules
