Overview:

The Card Settlement and Reconciliation Senior Executive / Assistant Manager is responsible for performing the day-to-day operational aspects settlement and reconciliation functions related to card scheme. This role requires an understanding of card scheme’s reconciliation methods and settlement timelines by using the relevant settlement and reconciliation reports and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, periodic review and update of settlement and reconciliation related SOPs.
  • Support the line manager in delivering accurate and timely reporting submissions to Card Scheme and BNM, within related job scope.
  • Support the line manager to prepare monthly Management Information (MI) where applicable.
  • Perform the following functions related to Card Operations:
    • Card Scheme’s reconciliation and settlement processes using Card Management System (CMS) and Card Scheme’s reports and tools.
    • Maintenance of accounting entries and GLs related to Card Operations.
    • Perform and manage other reconciliation tasks and GLs such as Cardholder Balances, Card Top-Ups, Fee Collection and Chargeback related entries.
    • Reconcile financial related adjustments done through Card Management System (CMS).
    • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure closure of open items, with stipulated timeframe.
  • Participate in UATs for cards product and system launches.
  • Provide support when audits are conducted in related operational areas.
  • Support the Senior Manager to identify and implement cost cutting measures and automations.
  • Provide work relief to other team member(s) within the department and undertake assignments and ad-hoc requests, when required

Job Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary level qualification and/or recognised qualification(s) appropriate to the role.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Card Scheme settlement and reconciliation. Understands the Card Scheme and BNM regulations.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and is an effective team player.
