What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer.
- Technical Skills:
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer, QA Tester, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- 3+ years professional (post-academic) experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Playwright, Puppeteer, etc).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Experience with GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Stackdriver and/or Datadog.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think critically and creatively to identify and solve issues.
- Experience with SQL and data validation techniques.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Availability:
- Flexible availability to support deployments during non-working hours
What will you do?
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and automated testing on our platform, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Liaison Duties:
- Serve as a bridge between internal employees and the engineering team.
- Gather feedback from internal testers and translate it into actionable tasks for developers.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding testing progress, issues, and results.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality and reliability of new and existing features through systematic testing.
- Validate data integrity and accuracy in our data pipelines.
- Review and analyze system specifications to identify test requirements.
- Deployment Support:
- Support deployments, which occur during non-working hours, to ensure smooth transitions.
- Validate post-deployment functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to address any issues that arise during deployments.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Advocate for QA best practices within the engineering team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance the QA process
