The Ceded Reinsurance Accountant will assume responsibility for all aspects of accounting for assigned ceded reinsurance contracts.
Job Responsibilities
- Verification of underwriting data for quota share and/or excess of loss contracts written by our fronting platform, Capital Solutions.
- Maintain the accuracy of premium information on excess of loss contracts written by the Capital Solutions platform including endorsements, premium adjustments, and cash allocations
- Maintain all aspects of quota share programs written by the Capital Solutions platform including bordereau reporting and posting, claims payments and cash allocation
- Verification and release of ceded reinsurance contracts written by the Bermuda underwriting ceded reinsurance team
- Monitor, and maintain within 90-day threshold, aging of accounts receivable/payable
- Liaise with brokers, claims department and underwriting departments regarding queries, outstanding receivables/payables, and premium adjustments
- Initiation of funding and withdrawal instructions in our Collateral Pay system to facilitate bordereaux settlements and collateral transactions
- Ad hoc administrative support to the Outwards Finance team as required
- Participate in systems enhancements including developing and executing test plans
- Additional projects and duties as required
