About the role:

Role: Bookkeeper

Work Schedule: Part Time | 20 hours per week | can attend meetings in EST

Type of Contract: Independent Contractor

Salary: up to Php 35,000 per month depending on skills and experience

About the Job:

In this role, you'll be the guardian of our financial data, ensuring its accuracy and keeping our financial house in order. You'll work closely with various departments to record transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate essential financial reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Tracking: Record all daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank deposits, and payroll processing.
  • Accuracy Matters: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial data by reconciling bank statements, verifying invoices, and maintaining a clean general ledger.
  • Reporting Ready: Prepare regular financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, profit & loss and cash flow statements, to keep management informed. Understand revenue streams, expenses, and profitability to provide insights into company performance.
  • Staying Organized: Maintain a well-organized bookkeeping system, ensuring all records are properly filed and readily accessible.
  • Staying Compliant: Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and deadlines by assisting with tax preparation or working alongside our tax professional.
  • Team Player: Collaborate effectively with other departments (e.g., sales, operations) to ensure smooth financial processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role in a startup company
  • Experience in Latin American bookkeeping is a pure advantage
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Notion and Google Workspace
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
