This role is responsible for performing a wide range of support tasks in the meat factory - including handling, slaughtering and processing livestock, packing, operating, processing and rendering equipment, warehousing and dispatching products. He/ she is required to comply with all personnel safety, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards set by the company.
Factory Support Tasks
At any given time and based on the operational requirement of the plant, the Meat Factory Crew may be assigned to perform the following tasks:
- Packs and boxing of deboned and sliced meat into cartons.
- Processes meat and offals.
- Moves carcasses and meat cuts to chillers and freezers.
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment, tools, production materials and work areas.
- Supports in loading and unloading of meat products into trucks.
- Ensures that all meat cut and or slaughtered products are properly labeled.
- Operates different machines connected to his/her assigned station.
- Provides support in other areas of production or other areas of the meat factory, when needed.
Quality Standards and Safety Management
- Perform standard operating procedures in the process.
- Ensures that all products are cut and trim consistently and efficiently within our quality standard.
- Comply with all food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
- Make sure work stations are always clean and organized. Strictly and consistently observes Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
