We are seeking an exceptional Open Source Project & Community Manager (Kubernetes Focus) to join our Open Source Program Office (OSPO) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing internal open source development teams, fostering relationships with external open source communities, and driving strategic initiatives around Kubernetes and related technologies.


Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate internal open source development teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and open source community standards.
  • Community Engagement: Manage the interaction between internal teams and external open source communities, fostering collaboration and contribution.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for effective participation in open source projects and communities, with a focus on Kubernetes and related technologies.
  • Community Management: Directly manage smaller strategic open source communities, nurturing growth and fostering a positive environment.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators related to open source engagement and project progress.
  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve conflicts between internal teams and external community members when necessary.
  • Outreach: Represent the company at open source events, conferences, and online forums to build relationships and promote the company’s open source initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure all open source contributions and usage comply with relevant licenses and company policies.
  • Strategy Development: Work with the OSPO leadership to develop per community/project strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Develop relationships within these communities/projects to help us succeed in our strategic goals.
