Role: Legal Office Assistant
Work schedule: Full Time | 40 hours per week | Pacific Timezone
Salary Range: up to 1,500 USD per month (Dependent on your skills and experience)
About the Role:
The Legal Office Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the firm's operations through clerical, organizational, and project-related tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organizing and maintaining client files, both digital and physical.
- Supporting Attorneys and Paralegals with filing organizations.
- Drafting documents, questionnaires, and legal forms.
- Managing data entry and document management across multiple systems.
- Assisting in the assembly of petitions and applications.
- Scheduling and calendar management.
- Reviewing incoming emails and open items.
- Providing general administrative support, such as mailing documents etc
Immediate tasks anticipated for the candidate to fully own on week 1:
- Get familiar with our document management systems and file organization standards.
- Start assisting in the preparation of corporate-related forms and documents.
- Begin gathering and organizing client documents for ongoing cases.
- Attend introductory meetings with Attorneys and Paralegals to understand current cases and workflows.
- 1-3 years of administrative or office experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Proficiency in the following software/tools: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Adobe Acrobat; Google Workspace (Gmail); Slack; CRM tools; multi-line telephone systems.
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field. A commensurate combination of education and experience will be considered.
