The QA Technician 1 is responsible for assuring that the feeds produced conforms to specification. The position is also responsible for the implementation of sampling plan for finished feed. The position will assists in the implementation and documentation involving ISO, HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
QA Technician
Monitors and conducts physical evaluation, NIR analysis and provide disposition to finished feeds in bags, bulk bins and bulk trucks.
Monitors and conducts physical evaluation, NIR analysis and provide disposition to RM bin bottom samples.
Informs concerned department/s on deviation/non-conformity found to identify root cause.
Monitor and ensure the implementation of corrective actions and closure of the problem.
Implements standard operating procedure on retained sample management.
Verifies micro hand adds preparation report and production run report versus implemented formula to ensure accuracy.
Ensure the conduct of bulk density test, mixer test and swab test based on schedule.
Cost Management
- Checks/inspects production run ticket to validate sack of variance.
- Monitors on-hold finished goods and ensures chemical and wet analysis is conducted by third party laboratory, when necessary.
Record Management
Manages and maintains a recording system of all evaluation and analysis results of finished feeds used for easy retrieval and reference.
Manages and maintains a recording system of all evaluation and analysis results of bin bottom samples for easy retrieval and reference.
Prepares and submit Shift reports.
Prepares and issue Product Quality Advise Note.
Maintains Certificate of Analysis of Finished Feeds, when necessary.
General Tasks
Monitor QA samplers activity.
Manage and monitor the supplies and samples inventory.
Manage and monitor composite sample transfer to reprocessing material inventory.
Monitor ageing status of finished goods at the warehouse.
Participates and contributes with cross-functional teams involving various process improvement activities.
Perform jobs other than the current assignment under the following situations:
- when the employees assigned to do the task is on leave
- when the employees assigned to do the task in question is out of work area due to other assignments such as official business trips, field work, special projects, attending seminars or trainings
- when the employees assigned to do the task in question is assigned to do jobs of higher priority
Complies any or all of the following as may be assigned or required:
- be a core group member in any of the company's Integrated Programs
- be a member of QIT within the department and may be requested to be a member in a cross-functional project team.
Participate in company programs and in meetings pertaining to quality improvement, efficiency, productivity, security and safety, sanitation and food safety, environment, waste reduction, sustainability, social responsibility and risk management.
Takes an active role in the implementation and maintenance systems such as ISO and 5S/GMP/HACCP.
Performs other related tasks as may be directed by the Immediate Team Leader or Department Head
Food Safety
Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.
