Role: Shopify Merchandiser
Work schedule: Full Time | 40 hours per week | Full Time | 2 PM to 11 PM Eastern Time
Salary Range: up to US $3,500 per month (Dependent on your skills and experience)
About the Role:
In this role, you will use your expertise in Content Management Systems to manage and optimize Shopify stores. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that all product listings are engaging, accurate, and effectively optimized to drive customer interaction and sales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shopify Theme set up and Customization: Customize our Shopify theme to meet the unique branding and design requirements of our designs. This includes modifying layouts, fonts, colors, and other visual elements to create visually appealing and on-brand online stores.
- Product Presentation: Optimize product pages to effectively showcase products information, images and user flow.
- Homepage Design: Design and customize homepage layouts to highlight featured products, promotions, and brand messaging. Merchandise content sections, banners, and sliders to match design and client requirements.
- Pixel perfect store set up: Ability to create pixel perfect replicas of designs and taking into account image quality, component sizes and section layouts.
- Navigation and Filtering: Implement intuitive navigation menus and product filters that match the store designs. Organize products into categories and subcategories to facilitate easy navigation and product discovery.
- Mobile Responsiveness: Ensure that all Shopify stores are fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices. Test websites across various screen sizes and devices to ensure a seamless user experience on desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of Shopify stores to identify and resolve any issues related to functionality, performance, or user experience. Ability to compare designs to the merchandised stores and fix any differences.
- Implement metadata information & App set up within Shopify themes: such as product meta fields , meta objects, setting up our in-house app functionality.
- Effective team communication: Ability to clearly communicate any discrepancies found during store set-up with the delivery team, highlighting any areas of improvement while ensuring efficient delivery of storefronts.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Shopify development is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Shopify coding languages, including CSS, Liquid, HTML, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of CSS and HTML for designing and implementing processes within Shopify.
- Proven experience with CSS Grid and Flexbox, particularly in the context of UI design and layout optimization.
- Familiarity with the Tailwind CSS framework or equivalent CSS frameworks.
- Experience with Shopify's CLI tool is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of meta objects and meta fields in Shopify for managing dynamic data.
- Proficiency in project management tools like Asana and time tracking tools such as Harvest.
- Excellent design skills, with strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with project management workflows and data analysis in fast-paced environments is a plus.
