We are looking for a senior level Infrastructure Database Administrator who will be part of the Infrastructure Operations team managing and maintaining the server and database infrastructure. Including but not limited to operational projects of migration and optimization of databases on prem as well as on the cloud.
Responsibilities:
- SQL Server upgrades/migrations
- Performance Tuning – review critical databases and improve the performance including indexing, SQL tuning
- Database Jobs Schedules – migrate all database jobs to JAMS centralized enterprise scheduling
- Monitoring and Alerting – setup database monitoring, adjust thresholds and alerting
- Database health checks
- Database Re-orgs
- New product/application support activities
- Database automation – automating database tasks
- Database DevOps – identify tools to include database deployments through CI/CD pipelines
- Database version control – ensure the database across all the environments are in synch
- Disaster Recovery – Test and Validate database recovery mechanisms and support DR testing
- Creation and management of databases in on-prem servers, cloud servers and cloud manage instances.
