Are you a multi-tasker looking for an opportunity to grow your career in procurement? Do you have experience in procurement management? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our valued client, a managed service company based in Sydney, Australia. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST, a new role for the business that has come about due to rapidly expanding business operations. 

In this role, you will play a crucial part in sourcing, procuring, and managing IT hardware, software, and services to support our company's operations.

  • This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule of 25 hours per week.
  • This is an office-based position in central Cebu City. 
  • The expected start date is September 2024. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating procurement for our customers in Australia, North America, and Europe. This is a crucial role that requires working closely with our international and local resources to ensure that procurement is conducted to the highest standard and meets both internal and external expectations and deadlines. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business, helping to ensure that we deliver the best possible service to our customers. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work effectively with others will be key to your success. 

Once you’ve mastered this role, you have the opportunity to progress into Level 2 and 3 Procurement Manager role.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Sourcing and Procurement:
    • Identify and evaluate potential vendors for IT hardware, software, and services.
    • Negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure the best value for the company.
    • Process purchase orders and track deliveries.
    • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Track and manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
    • Ensure inventory records are up-to-date and accurate.
    • Coordinate disposal of obsolete equipment.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key IT vendors.
    • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues that arise.
    • Stay informed about new technologies and vendor offerings.
  • Budgeting and Reporting:
    • Assist in developing and managing the IT procurement budget.
    • Provide regular reports on procurement activities and spending.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT procurement or a similar role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
    • Knowledge of IT hardware, software, and services.
  • Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented and analytical.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
