Summary:
- Functional area: Responsible AI
- The AI Governance Office is responsible for establishing and
maintaining robust governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
to guide the development, deployment, and monitoring of AI
initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design Framework for Responsible Practice: Lead the development of a framework for responsible AI practice within the organization, encompassing principles, guidelines and best practices for ethical, transparent and accountable AI solutions development and deployment
- Project Oversight and Quality Assurance: Provide oversight and quality assurance on AI solutions and products throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to responsible AI principles and compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies
- Mitigation Planning for Potential AI Incidents: Identify and assess potential risks and biases associated with AI solutions and develop mitigation plans to address them, including fairness-aware model training, bias detection and transparency measures.
- Ethical AI Education and Training: Educate and train AI ML COE members and stakeholders on ethical AI principles, responsible AI practices and the potential impacts of AI technologies on society.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including data scientists, engineers, legal experts, and regulators to collaborate on responsible AI initiatives and industry-wide efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, ethics, law or related field.
- Strong understanding of ethical principles, regulatory requirements and societal implications of AI technologies, with knowledge of emerging standards and best practices in responsible AI.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines related to AI and machine learning.
- Proven experience in a relevant role within the banking or financial services sector, such as compliance, risk management, or data governance.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated with AI and machine learning applications in financial services.
Tools:
- Proficiency in AI governance tools such as IBM OpenPages, SAS
- Governance and Compliance Manager, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with data management and governance tools such as Collibra or Informatica.
