Schedule: Monday – Friday (09:00 AM - 06:00 PM EST)
What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a US law firm practicing Civil Litigation
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures and terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal-specific software (e.g., Clio)
- Experience with legal research databases (e.g. LexisNexis)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Nice to Have:
- JD is highly preferred
What will you do?
- Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Prepare answers to interrogatories and other discovery documents
- Manage and maintain attorney calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, answering queries and providing updates
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation
- Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and documents
- Transcribe attorney dictation and format legal documents
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning
- Track and bill time accurately using legal billing software
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth case management
