The Video Editor will be focused on creating new video content and digital media assets for customers. Qualified candidates will be expected to have experience in video and sound editing, motion graphics, and visual effects, work in a fast-paced start-up environment, and be passionate about innovative designs. This role will work closely with instructional designers, project managers and clients to bring concepts to life quickly and efficiently, ensuring that all video content is visually engaging, informative, and aligned with our clients’ objectives. This role requires someone who can deliver exceptional video content rapidly. The person needs to be able to frequently iterate upon designs in accordance with customer requirements, while meeting aggressive deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Video Production and Editing: Produce and edit high-quality videos. Take ownership of video projects from design to final editing and post-production. Utilize video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects) to create engaging visual content
- Professional-Grade Videos. Edit raw video footage into polished, high-quality videos, ensuring smooth transitions, clear audio, and professional-grade output
- Motion Graphics: Conceptualize, design, and execute captivating motion graphics for videos and other digital media. Bring podcast-style learning videos, how-to videos, and training videos to life through visually engaging animations that are produced rapidly
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that all motion design work aligns with specific brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent and visually appealing brand identity across various media
- User Engagement: Use your creative talents to enhance user engagement and viewer experience. Craft animations that resonate with our users
- Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest motion design trends and technologies, incorporating innovative techniques into your work to keep our content fresh and competitive
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders to deliver outstanding results
- Collaboration: Work with an experienced team to collaborate on team deliverables according to best practices. Participate in workshops and brainstorming sessions to collaborate on creative assets. Collaborate with content creators and clients to understand video requirements, including messaging, tone, and style
- Organization: Organize and maintain a library of video assets, including raw footage, graphics, and project files
- Native or Fluent English
- 5 years experience in a similar role
- Critical thinker, detailed oriented with a keen eye for visual aesthetics
- Fast-paced (able to work on more than one video per day to help us meet a huge demand for services)
- Expert in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
- Open to feedback and constant iterations
- Excellent understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and timing in video production
- Passionate about creative work
- Mastery of video editing and production
- Strong portfolio of video work
- Proficient in sound engineering
Ideally having:
- Degree in Art, Video Production, UX IX CX Design, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
- Experience with AI-driven video editing tools or software that enhances production speed and efficiency
- Knowledge of 3D animation and modeling tools for more advanced motion graphics
- Familiarity with video distribution platforms (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo) and social media video best practices
- Understanding of marketing and branding principles as they relate to video content
- Experience with live-action and animated video content creation
- Background in working on sales enablement or technical training videos
- Familiar with using Video and Audio Libraries
