Position Summary:
Reporting to the Configuration Management Manager, support the development and implementation of a Configuration Management Strategy across the business together with direct responsibility for the BOM and Data Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a priority based task management system with issue recording to be used for process improvement
- Team responsibilities for BOM management including but not limited to new BOM development, BOM structure, BOM change implementation and BOM related support across design centre.
- Manage team resource loading/bandwidth.
- Team output including BOM compliance to released process
- Implement a “peer” review process across BOM routine tasks
- S4 HANA Troubleshooting and issue researching
- Participate/assist in the CCB process as required
- Review and approvals of all types of ECRs
- Tracking and management of any actions required
- Tracking and management of ECO implementations
- Working with the Configuration Management Manager to develop Configuration Management Policy and practices (together with deployment and training) related to BOM and Data management.
- Contribute as a key member of the Management Team at Management Team Meetings
- Global oversight and management of product transition activities between factories. Support BOM extension request and model transfer if needed.
- Perform BOM comparisons and analyses as required.
- Contribute to developing the capabilities of the Global Configuration Management Teams.
- Assist in ensuring SAP S4 Hana and Configuration Management strategy are strategically aligned for the business.
- Assist / Drive transition activities within the BOM and Data Management Team from current systems to SAP S4 Hana.
- Provide Global Support and Training to the Configuration Management Team.
- Deputise for the Configuration Management Manager as required.
- Assist Change and Release Management team as required.
- Global Team Management including:
- Staff development
- Performance appraisals
- Task allocation and oversight based on priority
- Cross training
- Business continuity staff development
- Time and attendance management
- Assist in the development and implementation of Configuration Management Metrics to be used for efficiency / process improvements.
