Responsibilities:
- Research and select suppliers for food, beverages, equipment and other necessary suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, terms and contracts with suppliers to obtain the best possible deals.
- Monitor stock levels and forecast future needs to ensure that the restaurant always has necessary supplies without overstocking.
- Place order for food, beverages and other supplies as needed, ensuring timely replenishment of stock.
- Ensure that purchased items meet the restaurant's quality standards.
- Implement cost-saving measures, such ad finding alternative suppliers or negotiating better deals.
- Address issues related to supply shortages, delivery delays or quality concerns promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
- Familiarity of supply chain procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
- Outstanding negotiation skills.
- Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field.
