DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:

The Senior Manager of HR at Elka Asenso will be responsible for overseeing the human resources functions, ensuring compliance with Filipino Labour Law, and fostering a positive work environment. This role involves managing and mentoring the Employee Relationship Managers & Recruitment Team. Developing departmental strategies, policy development and promoting a productive and engaged workforce.

POLICIES AND PROCESS MANAGEMENT:

•Collaborate with the Senior Manager of People & Culture to formulate and execute comprehensive people and culture strategies that support the company's overall mission, vision, and values.

•Ensure the company's policies and practices align with legal and regulatory requirements.

•Oversee HR operations, including policies and procedures, HRIS systems, and compliance.

•Ensure accurate and timely HR reporting and maintain employee records in compliance with data privacy regulations.

•Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.

•Partner with legal counsel to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

•Actively participates in industry associations and contributes to thought leadership.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

•Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, motivate, and retain employees.

•Conduct regular market analysis to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive.

•Ensure compliance with complex legal and regulatory requirements, including global compensation laws and industry-specific regulations.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:

•Design and implement performance management frameworks aligned with organisational goals and objectives.

•Provide coaching and mentoring on performance management strategies to internal team members, senior leaders, and HR professionals.

•Actively engage in research and stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in performance management.

•Play a key role in driving organisational change by effectively communicating the value and impact of performance management.

LEARNING AND GROWTH:

•Develop comprehensive learning and development strategies in alignment with organisational goals.

•Exhibits strong leadership skills and can effectively mentor and develop each individual within the HR and recruitment departments.

COACHING AND MENTORING:

•Provides strategic guidance in creating and fostering a high-performance culture, setting ambitious and strategic goals.

•Analyse employee feedback and identify areas for improvements to enhance engagement levels.

•Manage complex employee relations issues, resolve conflicts, and conduct investigations.

CLIENT EXPERIENCE AND RELATIONS MANAGEMENT

•Anticipate and proactively address any potential issues or challenges that may arise.

•Take the initiative to suggest improvements, offer innovative solutions, and propose ways to optimize processes.

•Demonstrate a proactive problem-solving mindset to enhance the client’s overall experience.

RECRUITMENT MANAGEMENT:

•Provides insights and recommendations on recruitment practices & initiatives that support organisational goals and objectives.

•Drive initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the company.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT &  HR DATA ANALYTICS:

•Aligns strategies with organisational objectives, ensuring solutions support long-term business goals and enhance overall HR effectiveness.

•Maximizes the functionality and capabilities of HR platforms through process reengineering, integration with other systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.

•Stays abreast of new HR technologies and trends, evaluates their potential impact and recommends innovative solutions to enhance HR processes and data-driven decision-making.

•Analysing workforce demographics, turnover rates, and succession planning data to make informed decisions about talent acquisition, succession management, and workforce optimization.

•Analysing data related to representation, pay equity, and employee experiences across the organisation to identify improvement areas, address disparities, and create an inclusive environment that values diversity and promotes positive employee and client experience.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

•Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.

•At least 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.

•In-depth knowledge of Filipino Labour Law and HR best practices.

SKILLS

•Strong leadership and management skills.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

•Expert knowledge of labour laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

•Proficiency in HR software and systems. (Preferably Zoho People but not required)

•Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

•Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

•Strong organizational and time-management skills.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
