- This is an office-based position in Balamban, Cebu, the shipping capital of the Philippines.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Junior Naval Architect is responsible for drawings, naval architecture & structural calculations and design for the assigned ferry/ship design project.
The junior Naval Architect should be able to perform the design and calculations with limited supervision to meet flag, classification societies, technical specification requirement and be fit for purpose. This above is to meet the project schedule and allocate design budget
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the drawings, Naval Architecture & structural calculations, design and reports for deliverable of relevant structure deliverables for the assigned ferry/ship design project.
- Provide technical support to the Structural Design Team, fabrication and supply chain.
- Supervise structural designer and draftsperson as required.
Essential:
- Bachelor' s Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
- Has 3+ years relevant work experience in shipdesign/shipbuilding
- Strong technical skills and the ability to problem solve.
- Experienced with AutoCAD, and preferably STRAND (or other Finite Element Analysis package), Maxsurf.
- Has supervisory experience with teams
Desirable:
- Licensed Philippine Naval Architect and Marine Engineer
- Aluminium shipbuilding experience
- Familiarity with 3D SHIP CAD software (SHIPCON)
- Other 3D model software
