What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or any related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in CMDB ideally in a Global Retail Industry
- IT Infrastructure technical background specifically:
- ServiceNow Engineering and Administration
- Store Solutions, Security and Redundancy, Large-scale and Distributed Environments
- Windows desktop and server technologies including Desktop Applications, Print Technologies, Remote Support, SOE Design, development and deployment
- Mobility i.e. Blackberry, BES, IPhone, ActiveSync, Portable Data Terminals, Microsoft Exchange, LANDESK (or equivalent), Active Directory
- Certification Needed: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- Good Communication / Negotiation / Presentation skills
- Ability to write technical documentation
Nice to Have:
- Industry experiences working within AU Company
- Certifications relevant to CMDB such as ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, ITIL Foundation Certificate, etc.
What will you do?
As a CMDB Lead, you will be defining and owning the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) platform. You will ensure that the CMDB is a dynamic single source of truth of accurate, accessible, and reliable information that, enables technology and business services and promotes proactive end-to-end management of services.
- Define requirements and create a CMDB blueprint.
- Own, maintain, and enhance the technical platform, processes, and documentation but not limited to service and data models.
- Select tools for configuration management process.
- Construct, populate, federate, and automate data into the CMDB (includes data and process perspectives)
- Move the CMDB into production and facilitate Configuration Management audits.
- Reviews and approves changes to the Configuration Management System infrastructure.
- Reviews and approves major IT infrastructure changes to address impacts on configuration management data.
- Provides and approves all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc. in support of new or improving functionality of the Configuration Management System.
- Oversee design, coding, and testing of reports.
- Reviews and approves all administrator access requests to the Configuration Management Tool (ServiceNow).
- Fulfill Configuration Management Service Requests.
- Collect and report metrics; identify service improvement opportunities.
- Administer and maintain the Configuration Management System.
