Builds, enhances and maintains an Enterprise Data Warehouse that serves the reporting and analytical needs for AECOM. Participates in Systems Delivery Life Cycle for Data Analytics and Reporting projects including preparing detailed technical design documents; designing and developing ETL/ELT code and database objects; participating in unit and system testing; engaging with supporting administration teams, Cognos metadata developers, and data analysts; and providing production and off-hours operations support as needed.
- Develops data warehouse data models and data integration jobs, using Oracle RDBMS, SQL/PLSQL, and/or Informatica PowerCenter. Responsible for populating the data warehouse, sourcing data from various databases and application platforms including but not limited to Oracle RDBMS, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle E-Business Suite, Workday, Salesforce, Smart Recruiters, and Dun & Bradstreet.
- Works with and supports Cognos report developers, data analysts, and operations team. Ensures report queries run efficiently. Tunes database queries as required. Troubleshoots integration processes when reporting errors are identified and operations team is unable to resolve.
- Implements code through AECOMs change management process. Maintains all required artifacts, including Business Requirements Document, proof of tests, and migration instructions using ServiceNow, TFS and Github.
- Applies knowledge of software tools, programming languages, and shell scripts to provide solutions that shape best practices for data pipeline and data warehouse development at AECOM.
