About the role:
As a Software Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.
About the team:
You will work closely with Customers, Product Managers, Business Analysts and Agile teams to design, build and implement quality technical solutions. You will be Involved in the full software development lifecycle including designing, coding, testing, implementing, and maintaining software that is delivered on time and within budget.
You will be proactive and make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. You will participate in Agile scrum ceremonies: Daily standups, design workshops, story grooming and sizing, and retrospectives. Responsibilities may also include participation in architecture design workshops, performance monitoring and feature estimations. You will ensure solutions are aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architecture, compliance, and security standards.
What you will be doing:
• Provides application software development services following the Agile SDLC.
• Develop program logic for new applications or analysis and modification of logic in existing applications.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, analysis, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining software applications.
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.
• Analyse requirements and translates business requirements into product designs and user stories.
• Writes technical specifications and other forms of documentation as needed.
• Suggests technical alternatives and improves/streamline processes and systems.
• Complete project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations.
• Level 2 and 3 technical support for customers as needed.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you will need:
• Minimum of 2 years' worth of experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Javascript, REST, OpenAPI, Jira / Rally, Git / Bitbucket, Jenkin, Azure
• Other technologies that will be good to have are: XML / XSLT, Micro-Services, JPA, Elasticsearch, MQs, Kafka, Junit, Cucumber, SwaggerHub
• Sound understanding of Design Patterns, Behavior Driven Development
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in written
• Confident and adaptable personality
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and planning skills
• Ability to perform under pressure
