This role is primarily responsible for translating learning needs into high-quality, best-in-class program design and learning content and working with key stakeholders in advising on training needs, best practices, system capabilities, assignments, and roll-out strategy. It will also provide Learning Management System (LMS) administration, technical support, and reporting of learning programs.
- The Learning Designer will work collaboratively, in partnership with an instructional designer, to build engaging, best-in-class learning content.
- Creates system training including interactive, animated videos that teach users in short learning intervals.
- Leverages knowledge from adult learning theories, design guidelines, and technical knowledge to create visually appealing and engaging training.
- Can provide direction and advice on which training materials and modalities best fit the project’s learning needs.
- Has the ability to translate Subject Matter Expert knowledge and vision into on-demand learning that engages the learner and keeps them coming back.
- Researches and stays on top of learning industry design best practices.
- Become a system expert to design effective training.
- Build surveys, assessments, and evaluation tools for learning activities.
- Frequently evaluates learner feedback, leveraging it to improve learning design and delivery.
- Can balance time, resources, and competing priorities to deliver learning assets on time and above expectations.
