Procurement Analyst is responsible for analyzing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that purchases align with the company’s budget and strategic goals. This involves data analysis, contract management, and collaboration with various departments to optimize procurement strategies. Procurement Analyst is also responsible in ensuring that the organization operates efficiently and cost-effectively through smart procurement practices.
- Work closely with internal teams (Finance, Operations, Legal) to align procurement strategies with business objectives
- Check proposed purchases against approved budget, including business segment allocation.
- Confirm approvals and explanations are attached to purchase requisitions for all variances from budget.
- Ensure purchase requisitions include correct business segment allocation.
- Constant communication with IT Finance and business segments about invoicing and reporting against all existing purchase orders.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement
- Assist in evaluation and maintenance of relationships with vendors, assessing performance and ensuring compliance with contracts.
- Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with legal requirements.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management to communicate procurement performance and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure deliveries are made on-time; determining supply needs and researching potential suppliers.
- Monitoring the company's demand for products to avoid supply shortages.
