Garrets International-Manila is looking for a Vessel Account Manager who will be responsible for all day-to-day engagements with the vessel for the management of placing stores on board vessels that are within the budget to meet the needs of the crew. The role also includes all the associated follow-up activities associated with the stores process including managing hold codes, claims, cash purchases, missing receipts, and other tasks which may be required to fully manage each vessel.
What you'll be doing:
- Completing the end-to-end stores order process including:
1. Analysis of returned RFQs
2. Vendor selection
3. Adjustment of orders to meet budget while ensuring sufficient stores onboard.
4. Negotiating the final order with the vessel and placing the order with the chosen vendor
- Monitoring vessels, coordinating budget and actual deliveries
1. Arranging the purchases and being responsible for prices and time are kept.
2. Follow up on deliveries, claims, possible re-supplies, overspending, etc.
3. Evaluate development regarding budget and opportunities for own vessels
- Guidance of the vessels to maintain budget, amongst others by looking at Ports and prices, while the well-being on board is prioritized and sufficient provisions are delivered
- Contribute to internal and external meetings with both clients and suppliers
- Provide customer service to vessels to ensure customer satisfaction
- Resolving post processes and other administrative tasks as required.
- Follow up on KPIs (goals) set by management
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree holder in any field
- Preferred someone with technical/maritime knowledge
- At least 2 years of similar experience
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- MS Office to intermediate level
- Knowledge of ERP system AX2012 is an advantage, but not a requirement
