About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Integration/Middleware Specialist to manage and optimize the integration of systems and applications across our IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining middleware solutions that enable seamless communication between disparate systems, applications, and platforms. You will ensure that integrations are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will have experience with integration platforms, middleware technologies, and a strong understanding of software development and system architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration Design and Implementation: Design and develop integration solutions to connect various systems, applications, and services, ensuring efficient data flow and interoperability across the enterprise.
- Middleware Management: Manage and maintain middleware solutions such as ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), message brokers, API gateways, and integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, IBM WebSphere, Oracle SOA Suite).
- API Development and Management: Develop and manage RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and microservices that enable integration between systems, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Monitor and troubleshoot integration workflows and middleware platforms. Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
- Collaboration with IT and Business Teams: Work closely with developers, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand integration requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain technical documentation for integration processes, middleware configurations, and API documentation. Provide regular updates and reports on integration projects and system health.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that integration solutions adhere to security best practices, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on new integration technologies, middleware solutions, and industry trends to continuously enhance the organization’s integration capabilities.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in integration development, middleware management, or API development.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, TIBCO, IBM WebSphere, Oracle SOA Suite).
- Strong experience with API development and management (REST, SOAP, microservices).
- Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ) and middleware technologies.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for custom integration development.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications (preferred): MuleSoft Certified Developer, Oracle SOA Suite, or other relevant integration or middleware certifications.
