As a Facilities Engineer III, you will manage the entire electrical system operation of the plant, drive operational efficiency improvements, and implement sustainable cost reduction initiatives. You will also be responsible for overseeing the electrical systems and infrastructure within the organization, including the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. This role involves ensuring that all electrical systems are well maintained to the highest standards, adhering to safety protocols, and complying with relevant regulations. In addition, you will manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. CAPEX and OPEX management, including asset management, will also be part of your responsibilities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversee the maintenance, repair and upgrading of all electrical systems, including power distribution, Genset operation, fire detection and alarm system, PA system, lighting and emergency power system
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures
- Develop and implement energy-saving initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance to all Philippine Electrical Codes and Regulations
- Lead and manage construction projects, including new builds, re-layout and renovation and facility upgrades
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules and budget
- Oversee the bidding process for construction projects, selecting and managing contractors and suppliers
- Monitor project progress, ensuring that timelines, budgets and quality standards are met
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure that all facilities-related activities adhere to safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and other relevant guidelines
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential hazards
- Work closely with colleagues within facilities department including other departments to understand their facilities needs and develop solutions that align with organizational goals and KPI's
- Communicate project updates, challenges and success to management and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical systems, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, as-built drawings (CAD) and upgrade histories.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on the status of construction project, including financial reports like CAPEX, OPEX and Assets Inventory
- Manage Department IMS and Playbook
- Ensure that all documents is complete, accurate and accessible for future reference
