What are we looking for? 

Skills Required:  

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study. 
• 3-5 years of recognized bookkeeping or (CAS) Client Accounting Service. 
• QuickBooks Experience: Transactional accounting with QuickBooks experience, a minimum of 2 years of recent experience working within QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks desktop. 
• Bookkeeping Experience: Proficient in QuickBooks, ability to navigate various workflows including A/R, A/P, payroll, sales tax, journal entries, financial reporting, 3rd party apps integration, banking and credit card reconciliations.

What will you do? 

• Monthly client accounting/ bookkeeping projects.
• Maintaining client books as per supervisor instructions. 
• Review CAS projects to ensure quality of the following documentation: 

•  Checking Tax Basis of Financials- Cash or Accrual 
•  Matching Balance Sheet to prior year tax return 
•  Reverse entries for AP, AR, Cash, Credit Cards and Loans 
•  Matching Payroll Wages and Payroll Tax to Payroll Tab 
•  Ensure bank and credit card accounts have been properly reconciled each month. 
•  Ensure auto loan accounts have been properly reconciled or adjusted properly. 
•  Analyze balance sheet comparisons and identify any document differences. 
• Verify items under $1K are not capitalized to fixed assets. 
•  Present Revenue variances to Managing Partner for solution. 
•  Present variances in Tax Payable to Managing Partner for solution. 
•  Complete Tax Workpaper allocations on P & L. 
•  Customer Service and communication with Client as needed

• Refresh and ensure accuracy of the following Workpapers: 

• A03 Payroll tab 
• U01 Revenue Tab 
• C01 Cash Tab 
• K01 Tab (Credit Card, Auto Loans and Tax Payable) 

• Assist with miscellaneous projects such as: tax vouchers, extensions. Franchise Tax Board project.
• Assemblies, partner job status meetings- updating jobs in Office Tools (Compliance), Office Tools management, entering clients into LaCerte and client folders.
• Tax Return to pull missing data report from Lacerte for individual tax return for the tax team.
• Back up for support staff as needed.

• New Client Onboarding:

• Set up client portal login and send an access invitation.

• Assign Lacerte numbers, set up folders and file shortcuts, and add group names in Office Tools.

• Tax Return Processing:
• Assemble completed client tax returns.
• Invoice clients for tax preparation services.
• Send tax returns to clients and follow up on unacknowledged deliveries.
• E-filing and Client Communication:
• Electronically file tax returns once signatures and payments are received.
• Document all actions within the practice management software.
• Monitor e-filing status and update client file records accordingly.
• Contact clients if additional documentation is needed for e-filing (e.g., 1095 forms or dependent information).
• Office Tools Management:
• Manage and track the Office Tools inbox for requests from different departments.

• Statutory Accounts Preparation for small businesses including Sole Trader, Partnerships and Limited Companies on Sage Cloud Accounting software.
• Preparation of Tax Returns, including Self Assessment Tax Returns and Corporation Tax Returns.
• Assistance with some bookkeeping and VAT return preparation tasks.
• Assistance with reviewing a more junior staff member’s work and raising review points for them to make any necessary corrections.
• Organizing emails and folders

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any accounting related courses
• Excellent in English communication
• UK accounting qualification/experience is a must
• Good understanding of debits and credits
• Being able to prepare and process year end journal adjustments, including:

• Recognition of accruals and prepayments
• Correcting control account differences
• Understanding the components of a UK tax calculation, including which expenses to be added back and capital allowances
• Has good logic and problem solving abilities

• Work From Home (Mon-Fri; 4:00PM - 1:00AM PHT)
• Must be amenable to work in a late mid-shift schedule

Responsibilities:

·        Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.

·        Completes audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings.

·        Appraises adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires.

·        Maintains internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires; recommending new policies and procedures.

·        Communicates audit findings internally by preparing draft report for internal review.

·        Complies with federal, state, and local security legal requirements by studying existing and new security legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements.

·        Prepares special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends.

·        Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

·        Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

·        Ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate with a B.S. in Accounting.
