Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of auditors, providing clear guidance and support.
- Plan and execute audit engagements, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Review audit workpapers, findings, and recommendations to ensure accuracy, relevance, and clarity.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess internal control processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings to management and stakeholders.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track progress.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to maintain audit effectiveness.
- Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, CIA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in internal auditing or public accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of auditing principles, techniques, and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Proficient in using audit tools and software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
