About the Role

As an Accounting Associate Manager, you will be collaborating with the finance teams across the group. • Reviews impact of Notices on current and prior year Tax Returns and recommends action plans to onshore managers
• Provides guidance to junior team members in navigating through ATO and IRD tax portals
• Responds and addresses moderately complex to complex queries and requests from internal departments with the guidance of local and onshore managers.
• Completes research to support positions taken in the tax returns, make recommendations, and propose solutions to onshore managers to resolve typical project issues and basic tax matters
• Assists junior tax specialist in carrying out responsibilities and understand moderately complex tax concepts and processes
• Collaborates with accounting, finance, treasury, and relevant parties from different segment to gather financials, apportionment schedules, and supporting calculations to assist in the completion of projects assigned.
• Assists manager in developing and maintaining project excel-based trackers or dashboards to monitor the overall status of the projects.
• Contribute to various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.
• Escalate issues and recommend resolutions to the local manager timely. Contribute specialized expertise to different assigned projects and may provide key updates to local and onshore managers.
• Prepare assigned quarterly tax effect accounting entries and statutory tax notes.

• Maintain the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.

• Propose alternatives in identified issues and assist in investigating and in resolving common and unusual issues.

Record to Report (RTR) officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and reporting of the organisation. Their responsibilities typically encompass a range of tasks covering all Carousell Entities.

You will:

• Support the RTR team in doing the monthly activities including but no limited to accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and lease accounting for all the Carousell entities.

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions specifically during finance month-end closing and related to RTR activities

• Prepare monthly account schedules and reconciliations

• Communicate financial information and updates to finance controllers across Company entities

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

1.  Provides general accounting and reporting services to the regional Supply and Trading Finance organizations in Asia Pacific that may include but are not limited to:
•  Settles payables and send out invoices to 3rd party counterparties, affiliates and intercompany entities after interpreting contracts and validating important and required information against necessary documents.

•  Works with the front office and/or middle office to update and correct pricing and quantities in Trading System (SRA).
•  Enters accrual entries into SAP based on invoices or other necessary documents that are not yet received in time for the month-end close.
•  Accounts for all associated secondary costs to physical transactions.
•  Accounts for other instruments used to hedge company price in SRA and SAP.
•  Prepares forecast of cash payments and receipts reporting.
•  Performs month-end reconciliations including GL Account reconciliation, SRA-SAP reconciliation, inventory reconciliation and address Interco imbalances.
•  Reconcile strategies and providing preliminary P&L analysis.

•  Supports and provide comments for the balance sheet accounts reconciliation including trace and escalation.
•  Supports SOX controls and testing, and internal/external audit requirements.
•  Handles ad-hoc inquiries from In-country Finance, Front/Middle Office as well as counterparties (3rd Party, Affiliates or Intercompany).
 

2.  Partnering with Manila Midstream Accounting Leadership Team in delivering reliable and cost-efficient services:
•  Monitors effectiveness of applicable controls, assesses gaps, develop corrective plans, report on progress made, and results.
•  Establishes processes and procedures to ensure conformance and alignment with corporate requirements.
•  Supports internal and external financial audits; serves as a contact for internal and external auditors.  Provides guidance on financial internal control issues.
•  Assists team in executing the work plans and support its revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
 

Required Qualifications:

•  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
•  Minimum of five (5) years overall work experience.
•  Good oral and written communication skills
•  Strong analytical, teamwork and customer engagement skills
•  Must have the propensity to work in a proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused environment
•  Open to shifting schedule

Preferred Qualifications:
•  Experience in SAP
•  General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process exposure preferred
