Role Summary
Uses specific knowledge of a discipline to achieve goals through own work. Has specific knowledge or expertise typically gained through formal education or equivalent experience. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Operates under general supervision but works independently most of the time with control & practice managers to actively execute control test plans. Regular activities include a risk-based control review, effective test execution, and an in-depth analysis of control test results to identify key trends and solutions. Contributes to the periodic risk reviews of, operational processes, procedures, and specific client servicing deliverables. Ensure risk review results are documented and reviewed with the control manager and the global control executive overseeing the practices.
Major Duties: Test the practice area processes, controls and operating practices as directed and prepares recommendations to strengthen control weaknesses.Conduct control tests, prepare written recommendations and document test findings. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team.Assist with control projects, operational and/or corporate risk initiatives where directed.Escalate risk and control related matters to the practice control manager.Assist with the facilitation of audits and regulatory examinations. Track and monitor all audit report and regulatory examination findings to ensure all open issues are resolved and closed in a timely manner.Prepare audit remediation packet for approval by the control executive and/or the control COO.
Knowledge: Professional with extensive business experience, multi-disciplinary functional experience with a focus on proactive activities within the Global C&IS Control group.Knowledge of the firm and industry
Experience: College or University degree is preferred.Financial services experience.3+ Years of risk & control experience.
