Primary Responsibilities  

In-charge for performing analyses as defined in the Matrix of Laboratory test and Analyses and reporting test results according to the Quality Management System policies and procedures. 

Specific Responsibilities  

• Performs sampling, testing and analyses as defined in the Matrix of Laboratory Tests, and Analyses and in accordance with the QMS and Safety Polices defined in the Safety Manual. 

• Performs preparation of reagents and test solutions and standardization of volumetric solutions in accordance with the standard test methods. 

• Participates in various proficiency / correlation programs. 

• Operates and maintains equipment used in performing analyses. 

• Reads, understands, and follows proper standard operating procedures 

• Analyzes and interprets standard laboratory test results including statistical quality control charts and uncertainty of measurements 

• Prepares and updates reports related to the analyses performed including statistical quality control charts and uncertainty of measurements for routine tests. 

• Signs worksheet and job instructions. 

• Maintains routine documentation, including worksheets, log sheet entries, sample documentations, etc. Records data precisely and accurately. 

• Coaches lab analysts I, lab technicians, lab aides and OJTs on the performance of test, analyses, and sample preparation. 

• Maintains workplace in a safe and orderly condition. 

• Prepares purchase request for laboratory supplies 

• Requests for cash advance subject to review of immediate superior and approval of Laboratory Operations Manager 

• Ensures compliance to the Group and national policies including but not limited to the maintenance of the Quality Management System 

• Operating to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity. 

• Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to: 

• Demonstrates strong commitment to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively participating in  meetings, projects and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE 

• Acts appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace 

• Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements 

• Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements 

• Efficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superior  

• Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization’s 5S program and guidelines 

• Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators 

• Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management 

• Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System 

• Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations

What you will be doing:

• Manages computing environment to protect production systems critical to business success.

• Acts as focal point for incident review and escalation if necessary.

• Supports a computer operations environment that meets all service level agreements, e.g., 24x7 availability, response time parameters, etc. and availability targets.

• Works across a wide array of product lines and engages various levels of management on a day to day basis.

• Is familiar with the ITIL framework, as the Incident Management process is a key input into the established Change and Problem processes.

• Develops, coordinates and promotes incident management activities across enterprise and takes responsibility for effective functioning of Incident Management processes across all support areas.

• Engagement following onset of a production incident.

• Provides immediate tactical response and coordination minimizing duration of service interruptions.

• Responsible for daily operations of information technology (IT) and business processing functions.

• Manages and directs technical and functional specialists and computer operations staff in restoration of service during an incident.

• Partners with IT management to establish strategies and priorities for overall IT operations understanding current and future business demands.

• Acts as liaison between inter or intra-datacenter teams for high severity incidents.

• Assists in managing and developing tactical plans for Operations.

• Provides work assignments for team members.

• In conjunction with the problem management function, identifies and implements cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives within the information processing area.

• Develops and maintains departmental standards and procedures.

• Consults with other teams on proper integration and correlation of the incident management process and their respective areas.

• Maintains awareness of emerging technologies, trends and best practices in computing hardware, software and operational processes.

• Provides regular incident bulletins to teams concerning open or ongoing incidents.

• Ensures effective and rapid response to major incidents.

• Reviews and recommends, as appropriate, changes to support processes to ensure continuous improvement of the incident management process.

• Facilitates daily, weekly and monthly tactical meetings as well as creates incident reports as determined by the business.

• Works with external clients and other internal teams on an as needed basis.

What you will bring:

• Experienced in handling incidents related to ATM Operations

• Must be open to work in Bonifacio Global City (Hybrid setup but might go full onsite in the future)

• Must be open to work on shifting schedule

• Considerable knowledge of incident management principles, procedures and techniques

• Considerable knowledge of standards and best practices relevant to the information technology industry, e.g., ITIL

• Strong knowledge of issue resolution and escalation practices, FIS products and services and IT infrastructure

• Ability to apply analysis and creative thinking when solving problems and conflict

• Ability to provide acute attention to detail

• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels within the organization
