What you will be doing:

• Ensure all backup and recovery and disaster recovery processes will meet or exceed business requirements.

• Develop and maintain team standards and procedures that support departmental standards and procedures.

• Manage internal and external communications/escalations on issues.

• Understand processing environments for supported products and services.

• Utilize variable staffing models, which includes contractor and co-source models, processes/practices.

• Encourage inter-team, inter-department and inter-organizational team work to accomplish goals and objectives.

What you will bring:

• Application Support Experience

• Preferably with experience in Banking or Payments domain but not required

• Willingness to work from 3pm-12am Philippine Standard Time (Later on, we can be flexible and move it more to local hours)

• Willingness to work on a Hybrid setup (Twice a week onsite). Office location is at Ecoplaza Bldg, Makati City (located near Magallanes MRT Station, EDSA)

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

• Strong management, organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skills

• Strong business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presence

• Considerable knowledge of all operations lifecycle phases, e.g., requirements definition, risk management, implementation, deployment, maintenance

• Proven track record as a Senior OutSystems Developer with at least 5 years of hands-on development experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

We’re seeking an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure cloud engineer who has expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications and an ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance, application deployment experience, developing operational excellence for our clients will be key to help building out a successful team.

• Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.

• Define and document best practices and SOP’s regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.

• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design.

• Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• At the direction of lead architects, develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modelling, and advanced analytics.

• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.

• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix, and document problems, and implement preventive measures.

• Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary.

• Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.

• Devise innovative ideas for solving hard technical problems involving distributed systems, scale and security and translate these ideas into designs and implementation.

• Implement best practices when it comes to availability, scalability, operational excellence, and efficiency.

• Engage with application developers throughout the full development life-cycle – from inception and design to deployment, operation, and iterative development.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Must have experience - Architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms.

• Nice to have experience - Database architecture, EKS/AKS, Kubernetes, docker, akamai, ServiceNow ticket management, Terraform, CI/CD

• More than 3 years of relevant work experience

• Must be willing to work onsite (twice a week). Office location is Ecoplaza Bldg, Chino Roces Extension, Makati City (near Magallanes MRT Station)

• Must be willing to work on a morning shift (8:00am to 5:00pm)

• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts.

• Hands on experience developing and engineering software and consumer facing applications.

• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design and Event Driven Architecture

• Experience working with SQL Server databases.

• Experience working in a distributed, cloud-based environment using Azure/AWS (Docker/Kubernetes)

• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS.

• Experience with modern SDLC tools, branching strategies, and ability to develop and enforce CI/CD practices.
