Reports to: Credit Control Manager

The Guernsey Finance team are growing! We are looking for a new Credit Controller to join our International Finance Team base in the Philippines, specifically looking after all our Guernsey businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate records / Daily update of aging report (Debtor Report)
• Weekly reconciliation of aging report
• Maintain Client Contact list
• Provide detailed SOA / Sending payment reminder according to procedure
• Following up with internal & external clients by email or phone (as necessary)
• Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries (internal and external)
• Liaising with operational teams
• Effective and timely completion of other activities as directed from time to time
• Build an effective relationship with all parts of the UK&I Businesses, delivering a well-respected and efficient service for the Credit Operations process
• Assist with driving process optimization across the Credit Control Function

As a Finance Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring that our monthly and other reporting deadlines are met. This will involve completing the detailed month-end postings, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and so forth. This individual would be expected to be involved in the year-end audit process, along with assisting with the other reporting requirements that we have.

We are looking for someone with a hands-on and can-do attitude. This will be key to ensuring that we can make the finance team fit for the future. The team's exposure to projects and ad hoc work is significant and varied.

Key responsibilities:

• End-to-end month-end accounts closing and preparation of monthly management reports complete with supporting notes and schedules;
• Management of the year-end audit process, including preparation of financial statements in accordance to FRS, provision of workings, schedules, and supporting documents on request;
• Assist with payment processing and cash flow reporting;
• Reconciliation of GST balances, if required, and completion of the return for quarterly filing;
• Preparation and updating the corporate tax computation monthly and attending to queries and requests from the tax agent;
• Invoicing and reporting.
• Liaising with various stakeholders both internally and externally;
• Any other ad-hoc assignments.

Below are some of the responsibilities which you will have as an Finance Administrator:

• Verify vendor documentations and requests for disbursements
• Address both external queries from vendors and internal inquiries from relevant stake holders
• Prepare payment runs and supporting files in our online banks
• Record and manage supplier invoices and associated bank transactions
• Ensure proper and accurate recording transactions in our financial systems
• Prepare regular bank reconciliations and accounts reconciliation
• Monitor daily Cash balances and prepare necessary reports for the financial operations supervisor and financial controller’s review
• Assist in the preparation of documents and schedules for the external auditors
• Assist in any ad hoc task of the Finance team

This also involve completing the detailed month end postings, preparation of accounting schedules, performing bank reconciliations and so forth. This individual would be expected to be involved in the year end audit process, alongside assisting with the other reporting requirements which we have.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation and update the Corporate Tax computation monthly and attending to queries and requests from the Tax Agent;
• Provision of proactive and insightful financial support to managers, Head of Finance;
• Completion of any other relevant regulatory returns;
• Driving process improvement and efficiencies across all of the finance activities;
• Liaising with various stakeholders both internally and externally;
• Managing and mentoring the staff accountants based in Manila;
• Taking the lead of various projects work as and when required and any other ad-hoc assignments.
