Position: 14260012562 - Credit Controller
Working Hours/Shift: M-F, Schedule/Shift will be TBD
Salary Range: 1000-1400 USD

Overview:

As Credit Controller you are responsible for working within the Finance team to ensure all aspects of our cash collection cycle is fully functioning. You will report to the Financial Controller. You will have excellent communication and time management skills. An ability to handle high volume workflow in a professional setting. Your function is to support the Finance team and ensure high levels of credit adhered in line with Group policy.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage all of Group credit control functions in each business unit.
• Minimize bad debt risk and credit exposure by ensuring group credit limits are operating effectively.
• Manage SEPA Direct Debit system.Liaise with the Commercial team to ensure prompt collection of Debtor Accounts.
• Report to management any outstanding issues and potential debtor defaults or problems and communicate on account queries from Debtors and internal departments. 
• Ensure a reduction in DSO by monitoring debtor balances.
• Reconciliation of bank accounts in Xero, managing unapplied payments, requesting remittance from Debtors, lodging cheques and any ad hoc cash.
• Oversee an Early Warnings Report to ensure proactive steps are taken to maximize collections.
• Liaise with debtors to resolve any queries.
• Process all credit notes from sales promotions.
• Circulate to Group and Commercial team weekly debtor statements.
• Prepare reports and presentations as requested by the Financial Controller and for year-end accountants for the annual set of accounts

Qualifications:

·         2-3 years experience as a Supply Chain Planner or similar roles

·         Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.

·         Comfortable talking to customers via telephone.

·         Excellent computer skills, specifically for data entry, CRM and Excel.

·         Experience using CRM or Invoice software is also an advantage.

·         Ability to work to tight deadlines and under time constraints.

·         Ability to work to follow processes and work to achieve KPIs.

·         Experience in customer service or an office based role (highly desirable).

· Customers coordination for past due balances in a prompt and professional manner by phone call and/or in writing

communication.

· Ability to check and follow up with internal departments for any disputed invoice, such as Accounting, Operations, and

Sales. Consequential actions are monitored closely;

· Ability to understand and discover for non-payments and to obtain payment commitment;

· Attention to customer queries related to their balances while providing reports, copies of invoices and/or any;

· Allocation of payment on a timely manner to ensure that customer’s accounts are up-to-date at any time;

· Ensuring thorough handling of Accounts Receivable report and month-end closing activities on time;

· Ensure compliance with requirements of local government relates to Accounts Receivable and Collection;

· Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills required to interface with customers and members of

other departments;

· Participate actively on all required team meetings.

· Monitoring of CWT and proper coordinate with customer.

· Compliance with the work procedures & data privacy

· Performs other duties as assigned by direct superiors and managers.

· Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any related field;

· Preferably experience in logistic/ freight forwarding environment;

· Must have at least 1 years experience in Accounts Receivable and Collections;

· Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office especially in Excel;

· Ability to work in fast-paced environment with high performance quality;

· Proactive and capable to handle of responsibility;

· Strong analytical skills and attention to details;

· Able to work under pressure

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Ensure achievement of monthly DSO Budget and other KPI targets.
• Manage Accounts Receivable balance and contact customers before balances become overdue to confirm payments
• Responsible in identifying slow moving accounts and escalate delinquent debts for case management
• Monitor customer credit limits
• Acquire sufficient information to assess the credit worthiness of new clients
• Monitor Field Collectors performance and productivity
• Responsible in handling disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms.
• In-charge of the preparation of Reminder Letters
• Ensure all Customer complaints & inquiries are acted as a matter of urgency and importance following the company SOPs and 2/24 promise
• To maintain good business relationship and thus improve customer retention and DSO
