The Finance Data Strategy, Governance, & Operations team leads strategic projects to enhance data quality and reporting with a focus on driving better data for analyzing the financial impact of transactional data. We partner closely with a cross-functional team to drive enhancements to our analytical infrastructure. We are seeking an Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong critical thinking and analytical skills, love solving challenging problems, can work independently, and is driven to getting to the “why”.
This successful candidate will be focused on validating, reporting, and enhancing Avid’s ARR – MRR and Subscription License data. These are key data sets that underlie critical KPI’s around customer and product retention and provide a wealth of insight for making smarter business decisions.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Gather and analyze data: Monitor analytics and provide insights and recommendations that drive performance improvements. Perform recurring weekly and monthly data review and analyses to support KPI reporting to publish KPI reports.
- Analyze process effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, make detailed recommendations, and measure impact of changes.
- Own improvements to documentation including data dictionaries, data definitions, process documentation and other methodologies, to help drive a single source of truth.
- Be responsible for the timely communication of data & reporting changes to cross-functional business.
- Provide guidance on the impact of technical changes on data and analysis and make recommendations during the development of new capabilities, functionality, quality assurance and ongoing production operations and validate the results.
- Partner on strategic projects: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data-centric initiatives.
- Partner with the data quality team on the implementation of regular data governance and data hygiene/quality processes. Proactively drives high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency, and drive improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years of experience with progressively growing responsibility in FP&A, Business Operations, Sales Operations, or equivalent experience in a complex organization with a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Has ability to own and drive independent cross-functional analysis projects
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal & written
- Proven ability to interpret analysis and provide meaningful insights and recommendations
- Highly collaborative; able to develop, manage, and coordinate projects across teams in support of a common goal. Delivers projects on time and with high quality
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of one or more of the following systems is required: Salesforce, Hyperion, NSPB, SAP, NetSuite, Domo, Microsoft Power BI and/or Tableau
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, Snowflake or DBT is a plus
