The Finance Data Strategy, Governance & Operations team leads strategic projects to enhance data quality and reporting with a focus on driving better data for analyzing the financial impact of transactional data. We partner closely with a cross-functional team to drive enhancements to our analytical infrastructure.

We are seeking a Team Lead to manage a small team of business data analysts dedicated to ensuring that Avid’s ARR – MRR and Subscription License data is correct by validating, reporting, and enhancing the data set. This is a key data set that underlies critical KPI’s around customer and product retention and provides a wealth of insight for making smarter business decisions.

The successful candidate will be a stronger leader, dedicated to driving excellence, efficiency, and consistency. They will need to have strong critical thinking and analytical skills, love solving challenging problems, be able to work independently, and is driven to getting to the “why”.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead a team of individual contributors who are tasked with delivering trusted and reliable data that will be used for driving key business decisions and tracking business critical KPI’s.

• Perform administrative tasks as it relates to managing a technical team. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to timekeeping, managing attendance and behavioral performance of each employee, on boarding and training.

• Gather and analyze data: Monitor analytics and provide insights and recommendations that drive performance improvements.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) that will serve as a key business partner for identifying business insights through data to help identify what is driving our business (e.g. deliver the what happened but also partner with the business be able to help identify and explain the why’s behind the data).

• Perform recurring weekly and monthly data reviews and monitor data quality and provide team KPI-metrics.

• Managa distribution of work to ensure that the team is meeting SLAs.

• Provide coaching to analysts.

• Create and present reports on team’s performance.

• Analyze process effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, make detailed recommendations, and measure impact of changes.

• Own improvements to documentation including data dictionaries, data definitions, process documentation and other methodologies, to help drive a single source of truth.

• Be responsible for the timely communication of data & reporting changes to cross-functional business.

• Provide guidance on the impact of technical changes on data and analysis and make recommendations during the development of new capabilities, functionality, quality assurance and ongoing production operations and validate the results.

• Partner on strategic projects: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data-centric initiatives.

• Partner with the data quality team on the implementation of regular data governance and data hygiene/quality processes. Proactively drives high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency, and drive improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in FP&A, Business Operations, Sales Operations or equivalent type role in a complex organization with a fast-paced environment

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Has ability to own and drive independent cross-functional analysis projects

• Excellent communication skills – both verbal & written

• Proven ability to interpret analysis and provide meaningful insights and recommendations

• Highly collaborative; able to develop, manage, and coordinate projects across teams in support of a common goal. Delivers projects on time and with high quality

• Strong attention to detail

• Knowledge of one or more of the following systems is required: Salesforce, Hyperion, NSPB, SAP, NetSuite, Domo, Microsoft Power BI and/or Tableau

• Knowledge of SQL, Python, Snowflake or DBT is a plus

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to focus on Revenue Management and to manage all financial transactions, from fund allocation and deployment, to wallet movements and token buy and sell, to token and NFT investments, and all relevant data tracking for BreederDAO’s gaming operations such as, but not limited to, gas expenses, token purchase and current value, NFT purchase and current value, vesting schedule, etc. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping, auditing, understanding of token gains and losses (both realized and unrealized), and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the company's financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance and completion of complex accounting activities, including compiling, analyzing, posting, and reporting complex financial information particularly on token and NFT movements in a timely and accurate manner.

• Ensure the proper tagging of transactions, and accurate reporting and modeling of financial data specifically relating to gas transactions, purchase and current values of token holdings, purchase and current values of NFT holdings, fund deployment.

• Accurate reporting of wallet movements.

• Ensures accuracy and completeness of Gaming Operation’ Financial Statements.

• Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for operational improvements to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency.
• Prepares and distributes various financial reports and models on Gaming Operations BU for Department Heads, Executives, Investors, and DAO Members.
• Develop and implement cost control and revenue management strategies to maximize profits and minimize expenses.
• Recommends effectiveness of investment allocation based on financial data and models presented and created by the same.

• Accounting experience (at least 1 yr)
• Crypto and Web3 experience is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, or a related field.

The Investment Manager, now also serving as the FP&A Lead for the Meats Division, plays a pivotal role in preparing essential financial analyses, forecasts, and valuation studies that inform strategic financial and operational decisions across the organization, with a specific focus on the Meats Division. In addition to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data used in decision-making for the broader Food Group, this role now entails a concentrated responsibility for identifying and interpreting key trends and insights within the Meats Division, which could significantly impact investment performance and strategic direction. Their expanded expertise and insights are critical in guiding senior management and stakeholders, particularly in decisions related to the Meats Division, thereby enhancing the organization's ability to achieve successful
investment outcomes in this specific sector.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Ensures thoroughness, accuracy, and timeliness in the preparation and basic analysis of the financials of one or more divisions of Food Group to support reportorial requirements. These reports include but not limited to the following:
  •  Internal: BOD, EXCOM, MANCOM, etc.
  •  External: Banks, Government institutions, etc.
• Prepares thorough, accurate, and timely ad hoc reports requiring basic analysis and coordination with requesting departments ensuring integrity and confidentiality of data.
• Ensures thoroughness, accuracy, and timeliness of ad hoc reports requiring deeper analysis due to higher degree of complexity and confidentiality.
• Closely coordinates with different departments in the Food Group to ensure that relevant financial and operational information is reported and the integrity and confidentiality of the information is kept.

Valuation and Investment Analysis

• Builds financial models and valuation cases, and performs investment analysis for expansions, new businesses, initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity, and mergers & acquisitions.
• Provides analytical support to Executives, Business Development team, Corporate Strategy team, and other operational teams across the Food Group.
• Conducts post-mortem analysis and investment lookback after achieving milestones of investment projects.
• Prepares presentation materials and presents investment analysis and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, and communicates key insights and findings in a clear and concise manner, ensuring that all parties have a thorough understanding of the investment strategy and potential risks and rewards.

Capital Budgeting

• Assists in the preparation/updating of the 10-Year Warchest grounded on the Food Group strategy
• Collaborates with the Country Teams in gathering inputs/updates to the long-term forecasts

FP&A Lead Specific Roles

• Supervise the FP& A Meats Analyst
• Leads the financial planning and analysis for the Meats Division, ensuring alignment with overall Food Group strategies.
• Develops and implements financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives in the Meats Division.
• Monitors financial performance of the Meats Division, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborates with F&N and Meats Division unit leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, and operational financial plans.

Others

• Provides support to CFOs, COOs, Country Directors and Controllers, Mill Managers, and other executives, particularly in running financial and scenario analyses for both tactical and strategic initiatives.
• Provides research support to Treasury, and Risk & Commodity departments, particularly in data gathering and analysis of key economic indicators that are regularly monitored by the Food Group.
• Provides cash, debt, and working capital analysis for one or more divisions of the Food Group.
• Attends meetings and discussions related to the Finance Investments function, and participate in cross-functional teams as needed to provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Performs other financial analysis/tasks assigned by the AVP Finance Investments/VP
• Corporate Finance as needed or as business conditions change.
