The Retail & Education Manager is responsible for driving retail and net sales, monitoring SOH, supporting marketing to maximize sales, and recruiting and developing staff. In addition, he/she is responsible for all aspects of Product training, Brow training, and Selling methods in a fun and energized learning environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Business Acumen
- Develop and execute a commercial strategy to achieve daily/monthly/yearly sales goals and effectively cascade this to the field team.
- Analyze and assess retail productivity from channels to doors to BA/BEs, including monitoring of retail and service KPIs
- Effectively lead the team to ensure that all corporate initiatives are met and collaborate with the marketing team on in-store initiatives to achieve retail sales targets.
- Support marketing team in forecasting new products based on historical data and current trends from each retail channel
- Monitor and control SOH. Ensure proper inventory management and that stock levels are accurate.
- Control monthly/yearly/expense targets of the sales & education team, i.e., Salaries, commission, testers, supplies, and T&E.
Management
- Redefine roles and expectations among the sales coaches/teams based on the new structure. Lead by example, coach, develop, and support the field team to work effectively. Develop and coach field staff effectively utilizing all tools available for on-counter coaching.
- Responsible for the mentoring and development of the field team and ensuring continuous improvement of overall BE/BA productivity in the Philippines
- With the use of MJSF, consistently review the performance of team members and help create action plans for development.
- Ensure all reports are submitted accurately and on time.
Retail Operations
- Work alongside the marketing team to develop locally relevant in-store activities, tactical offers, and promos to support focus categories and key launches.
- Responsible for all processes of the online Booking system, i.e., translation, training, liaising with the Regional team, and communicating with all local stores. Be the contact person for any issues and liaise with the Regional team to resolve them promptly.
- Facilitate quarterly stock count and inventory alignment.
Visual Merchandising
- Ensure ALL Visual Merchandising guidelines, priorities, and timelines are followed, executed, and aligned with budgeted VM A&P.
- Ensure that Benefit merchandise is displayed per the visual merchandising guidelines and that proper product display/merchandising for every launch and animation is observed.
- Coordinate with local and international suppliers/contractors.
Training & Education
- Plan the Training Calendar according to the launch calendar
- Responsible for all aspects of Brow Training, both classroom training and in-store coaching and monitor their skills and techniques to match Regional standard
- Ensure all BEs are aligned in the execution and expectations of your Service Reboost Plans
- Implements all Benefit education training to our staff and Sephora cast members to achieve desired business results
- Ensures all Benefit Brow Bars meet the regional hygiene requirements and assists in sourcing the necessary Brow Bar tools and supplies.
- Monitor and strengthen BEs’ productivity.
- Continually inspires and acts as a Benefit brand ambassador, leading the Benefit cultural characteristics by example.
- Coordinate with the International/Regional Training team regularly.
